Answer: Zakat al-Fitr is a zakat for all Muslims, regardless of their rank and status. Ibn Umar narrates in a hadith that he once said: "Zakahul Fitr is one sha (2.4 kg) of starchy food material i.e. tamar or maize, obligatory on all Muslims, slave, free, male, female, children and all. Adults." He ordered Idilfitrin to distribute it to the poor before going out to pray. (The story of Bukhari and Muslim)

The purpose is to feed the poor on Eid and make up for the lack of fasting we do.
In a hadith narrated by Ibn Umar, it is said: "The Messenger of God required Zakat al-Fitr for fasting, living together, and those who feed the poor to purify themselves from useless deeds." A person who prays before the Eid al-Fitr prayer becomes a recipient and gives charity. (Abu Dawud, on the authority of Ibn Majah, Sahih al-Hakim)

When paying zakat-fitr, follow the Madhhab of Sophia as follows.

l Fard Time: From sunset on the last day of Ramadan.

l Time of Sunnah: After the Fajr prayer on the day of Eid, i.e. before the Sunnah prayer of Eid-ul-Fitr.
Time required: As soon as Ramadan begins, during the holidays. Therefore, the whole of Ramadan is obligatory.

l Makruh time: before Maghrib time and after the Eid prayer.

Illegal time: Deliberately delaying payment to wait for those who have not yet reached Maghrib time on the day of Eid, except for good reasons.

The amount of zakat depends on the needs of local residents and is determined by local religious authorities.
